Our kelp is sustainably harvested from the wild and entirely by hand, ensuring fast regrowth and self-regeneration, empowering rural communities, stimulating their local economy, maintaining its role in the ecological balance and even influencing oceanographic conditions.
Kelp forests along the south of South Africa’s coastline represent some of the last pure kelp forests in the world. This area has low levels of commercial farming and consequent run-off into the sea, and limited shipping activity compared to other locations around the world.
